The people of Kongerige believe that in the beginning there were four dragons: Pyra of Fire Bay, Aquo of surrounding seas, Terra of glass plains and the forest, and Pneumos of the mountains. The people of the distinct regions worship the respective dragons. The royal family of dragons, led by Magos, have a sect of followers. Backwash Lake is Magos' dominion. The Vergotians are a sect of worshippers who follow nomadic principles of pleasing the gods.

In the beginning, Pyra created lava, Aquo cooled it down with water, then Terra manipulated it into the world of Quatteran. Pneumous disagreed with the decision to create a world for beings far inferior, initiating a battle with Aquo, which created the oceans and the atmosphere and winds. The four dragons split into their separate dominions; they rest there, worshipped by the surrounding populations.
