The Calidus Lion lives in the Calidus Flatlands and is a pack hunter. Prides are matriarchical and extremely territorial, often resulting in violent clashes between them and humans when their pack boundaries have been breached, no matter how innocent the violation. Among the list of its common prey are Gold Sheep, Tusked Deer, and the Whiptail Mouse.One lord of Nundinae, Lord Rodair, once called these beasts "Plain Kings," and they deserve the title. Great felines with large, powerful limbs and sharp senss, they work in tandem to hunt the Tusked Deer, the local herd beast. Their fur is highly valued for rugs and clothin, although they are difficult to kill. Although they live in packs, one female leads it, accompanied by lesser females and several, much weaker males.
