The Whiptail mouse lives in the Calidus Flatlands of Doxas'Olum and uses its tail to grasp plants. When a predator grabs onto its tail, the top skin of its tail comes off, allowing the mouse to escape.The Whiptail Mouse has perhaps the strongest way of movement of any plains creature. Using their prehensile tails to balance on the topof a poleberry plant, they launch themselves across the plains, jumping from poleberry to poleberry. In times less requiring speedy escape, the poleberry is their main food source. They also dig burrows under its tough roots, hiding their young there while they gather food. (By Ryan Yappert)
